Course Overview
Well integrity is essential for safeguarding personnel safety, ensuring environmental protection, and effectively managing risks in the oil and gas industry. As global regulatory standards and operational demands continue to evolve, operators and government bodies face mounting pressure to address well integrity challenges across well construction, production, and abandonment operations. This course equips participants with the necessary knowledge to enhance well integrity management and mitigate operational risks.
Why Attend
Enhance your expertise on the critical aspects of well integrity and its impact on oil and gas operations. This course is led by seasoned Well Integrity Experts, providing a comprehensive and interactive learning experience. Participants will gain real-world insights through case studies of well integrity projects and engage in dynamic class discussions about key challenges and solutions in the field.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will:
Understand the essential components of designing and implementing Well Integrity Management Systems (WIMS) for optimized performance.
Course Agenda
Day 1
Definitions, principles, techniques and processes of Well Integrity Management.
Learn about Well Integrity management throughout Well Life Cycle – Risk Perspectives, Threats and Preventive measures. Key relevant standards and regulations such as latest NORSOKD-010, ISO 16530-2, OGUK &API RP90).
Day 2
Well Barriers and Well Integrity focus for Life Cycle Management
Understand the differences between Primary & Secondary Barrier Elements and Functions. Awareness on Life cycle approach to Well Integrity: Design, Drilling, Production, Operations, Suspension, to Abandonment (Planning). Demonstration on why Well Integrity focus at all stages of Life Cycle reduces risk to personnel and assets.
Day 3
Key elements of a Well Integrity Management System and Implementation
Overview on WIMS –Purpose & Scope, Well Handover, Flow Assurance & Well Integrity. Go through Well Operating Guidelines: Define operating envelope of a well, understanding the concept of MOASP, MAASP, LOASP, sustained casing pressure risks, and requirements for Wellhead Integrity Maintenance and Inspection.
