This course is designed to educate participants on the safe, hygienic, and effective transportation and storage of food items. In any workplace in the food services industry, safety around food transportation and storage is of the utmost importance. It is heavily legislated and has serious consequences for non-compliance.
The course applies to food service operations where food is transported from the preparation area to another location and stored on arrival. This includes restaurants and cafes, educational institutions, aged care facilities, hospitals, defence forces, cafeterias and kiosks, residential catering, in-flight and other transport catering, events catering and private catering.
As a key building block for anyone working in food services, this course applies to food handlers who directly handle food when transporting and storing food and is well suited to anyone wishing to enter the food services workforce, as well as existing workers in the sector.
