Team Synergy

Swinburne University of Technology

Short Course

Course Overview

Synergy is defined as the combined power of a group of people when they are working together, that is greater than the total power achieved by each working separately.

Participants complete the DISC Profile Assessment before attending the workshop. This is to maximise the effectiveness of the learning within the context of the workshop content.

The course focuses on how to build team cohesion and performance by understanding how to build trust and master healthy conflict, understanding communication preference and how to identify the preferences of others, and exploring reactions to conflict and how to prepare for interactions where conflict exists or has the potential to arise.

Through discussion and activity, discover practical tools and techniques to work effectively with others, encourage team members to engage in healthy debate, and to ensure criticism is constructive and orientated toward understanding and problem solving.
