Course Overview

Learn how to manage respirable crystalline silica dust exposure in construction and manufacturing workplaces.

Course Content

Silica dust has been a long-standing health hazard that has caused a great deal of disease and death. Inhaling dust that contains silica particles can build up in the lungs over many years and scar them, resulting in silicosis.

In May 2023, Australia's first Silica Dust code of practice for the construction industry was introduced. Our Silica Code of Practice Awareness course, details how to eliminate or minimise exposure to respirable crystalline silica (RCS) at work and meet your obligations under the code of practice.
