The training day will be a blend of presentations, interactive discussions, group activities, and case study analysis. Questionnaire will be issued to course attendees prior to course commencement to collect feedback on Risk Assessment challenges faced and issues of concern to be addressed in the training.

Course Instructor: Colin Stuart, B.Eng., FIMechE

Over 40 years' experience worldwide as both a Drilling and Petroleum Engineer. Established Stuart Wright in 2006. Colin's experience includes working with Operators and Drilling Contractors in North Sea, USA, SE Asia and Australia.

 

Throughout his career, Colin has specialized in complex well design and operation including HPHT and deepwater including significant rig site experience. Colin has led numerous HPHT projects up to 20k psi and 520°F including the first ever 20k psi well. Colin has taught HPHT training courses to various operators and drilling contractors including Santos, Woodside, BP UK & Caspian Sea, Total, Bien Dong, Apache, Petronas, Transocean, Inpex and Premium Drilling.

 

Colin’s recent field experience includes working on complex HPHT and Managed Pressure Drilling wells in Australia and Malaysia, keeping him at the forefront of industry challenges. He is also an active global Expert Witness in loss of Well Integrity events, offering his expertise to the oil and gas industry and regulators.
