Course Overview

This two-day intensive program is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge essential for fostering a positive work environment. The course covers the scientific foundations of positive leadership and practical applications that promote a constructive and engaging workplace.

 

Participants will learn about the science behind positive leadership, including understanding the negativity bias and why fostering positivity is crucial for effective leadership. The course will introduce key elements that define the mindset of a positive leader and explore core behaviours that create and maintain a positive emotional climate at work.

 

A major focus of the course is on enhancing communication techniques that not only improve engagement but also boost creativity, motivation, and workplace relationships.  The program provides tools for aligning personal values and purpose with professional roles, crucial for deep engagement at work.

 

Course Content

Through this course participants will develop the skills and knowledge to:

  • Explain the science that underpins the benefits of positive leadership
  • Apply the key elements of the mindset of a positive leader
  • Adopt the core behaviours that build and sustain positive emotional climates in the workplace
  • Apply a core communication technique that simultaneously promotes engagement, builds creativity and motivation, and enhances relationships at work
  • Identify their strengths and how they can apply them to enhance both their own performance and that of others
  • Use methods that identify core values and purpose essential for engagement at work
  • Develop strategies for performing at their best and maintaining optimal positivity under stress
