Course Overview

Over the past few years, the scientific study of the effect of mindfulness on human behaviour has increased exponentially with wide ranging benefits being reported. These include, amongst others, including greater resilience, reduced stress, improved concentration, increased productivity, and enhanced ability to manage interpersonal conflict. 

 

The potential impact of mastering mindfulness on organizational effectiveness and worker health and well-being is significant. As a core strategy for building emotional intelligence, it is also becoming an essential practice for organisations and individuals committed to building leadership capability. 

 

The objective of this course is to provide participants with the fundamentals of all they need to develop their own mindfulness practice and ideas for implementing this within their own workplace.

Course Content

Through this course participants will develop the skills and knowledge to:

  • Manage distractions and maintain attention and focus
  • Apply strategies to reduce stress and reactivity and heighten ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Process information efficiently and increase effectiveness of decision making
  • Think more creatively when problem solving
  • Build grit and resilience needed to pursue and accomplish goals
  • Manage conflict and other challenging conversations to improve interpersonal relationships.
