Course Overview

This micro-credential will equip your workforce with introductory skills and knowledge in working with data. They will learn about what data is, how we gather and analyse it, and how to make the output meaningful. Your employees will explore methods of managing and presenting data to support their managers and your business to make data-driven improvements to services and system.

 

Every business gathers data, intentionally or unintentionally. Every engagement or click, enquiry or sale, and survey interaction generates data that can inform your business using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Equipping your workforce with the skills to recognise, respect, secure, and use data proactively can drive business development and help you meet compliance and regulatory requirements. 

Course Content

By the end of this course, participants will have skills and knowledge to:

 

  • Explain data is, where it can come from and the types of data 
  • Describe why and where we analyse data 
  • Analyse and develop methods for collecting, organising, and describing data How we can collect data
  • Present data analysis in meaningful ways
  • Understand their role in protecting and managing data security and privacy
  • Identify how AI impacts and might potentially impact data capture and analysis 

Additional Details

Participants will complete a quiz at the end of the course, requiring a 60% pass mark. Upon successful completion, they will have access to a certificate of completion as evidence of achievement of the micro-credential.
