Internal audits are crucial for maintaining an efficient and effective food safety or HACCP program. During this comprehensive 2-day course (16 hours), you'll develop essential skills in planning, conducting, and following up on internal audits. Whether you're looking to enhance your auditing expertise within your organisation or conduct external audits for suppliers and subcontractors, this course provides the knowledge and practical experience you need. 

Our experienced trainers will guide you through engaging classroom tutorials, interactive role-play exercises, collaborative group workshops, and open forum discussions, ensuring a thorough understanding of the entire audit process.

This course is designed for groups of approximately 10 participants.

• Adding value to the organisation through best practice auditing
• The roles and responsibilities of an auditor
• Setting appropriate audit objectives, scopes and criteria
• How to plan and prepare for the audit and why it’s important
• Conducting an opening meeting, team meeting and closing meeting
• Techniques to gather objective audit evidence
• Communicating effectively with the auditee
• Preparing and audit report and giving meaningful feedback
• Follow up activities including corrective and preventive action

During the course each participant prepares:

• An Audit Checklist
• An Audit Report; and participates in
• An Audit interview
• An Opening, audit team and Closing meetings

Approach to Assessment

Assessments are typically undertaken during the course; however we understand that circumstances may arise that prevent a participant from completing the assessment in-class. In such instances participants are afforded up to 4 weeks to submit any incomplete items. Our assessment process comprises in-class work activities and an individual written assessment. There are no post course assessments.
