5S is an organised approach to managing workspaces aimed at boosting efficiency by eliminating waste, streamlining processes, and enhancing workflow. 

The methodology is named 5S because it involves five key steps: 

• SORT: Eliminate unnecessary items from the workspace.
• SET: Designate a place for everything and ensure everything is in its place.
• SHINE: Clean and maintain the workspace to ensure it is safe, free from waste, and productive.
• STANDARDISE: Develop standard procedures and provide necessary training.
• SUSTAIN: Continuously monitor, improve, and repeat the process. In this workshop, participants will learn the principles of 5S and how to implement it effectively within their organisation. 

The 5S methodology emphasises visual management techniques, ensuring that work areas align with the goals of safety, quality, and efficiency. As a foundational tool for continuous improvement, 5S fosters discipline, teamwork, and ownership of workspaces while reducing frustrations. It also enhances engagement as participants can visibly see the transformation of their work areas.
